back to wireframes

These are the initial sketches I was working with. I really wanted see how I can play around by breaking the words and stacking them to create visual hierarchy. I used line to separate the word FireFly and Club.

I used single font and converted to vector object to manipulate and play around with the shapes. I kept it simple to go with my brand and my target users.

I started adding shapes and injected brand colours to make the logo appealing for my target users.

Final Logo

I’ve decided to go with this final version. I’ve added purple colour as the background to showcase inclusivity of the club. I incorporated a round motion with the two Fireflies to represent the journey of motherhood. The blob shape background represents the open sky where moms can be free to explore and be a kid again.

FireFly Club app features live video class based on the user's current mood so I looked for inspirations online that focused on those areas of UI. Some of the places I've looked at was Dribbble and Pinterest.

Multiplatform One-Day Challenge

FireFly Club app using an iPad

For this multiplatform one day challenge I decided to design the main page of the app for iPad. Since my target users are busy millennial moms on the go, I thought iPad would be a practical choice. One of the main features for this app is the live video class that users hosts. Using an iPad would give them more screen space to watch the video and also easier to carry around.

Expanding the Brand

After the Hi-fidelity prototype I decided to create a marketing website for Desktop and Mobile to get users to know what the hype is all about. Get excited and check out the features it provides. I want my users to gain the trust and spread the word with friends. I created multiple versions after many feedback and iterated to come up with the final Product Marketing Website. This is just a glimpse of what it looks like but you can download the full PDF to have a better look.

What's next for FireFly Club

Future Thinking: FireFly Club seems to be at a good start but it definitely has room for improvement. I would like to do more user testing and definitely focus more on the UI for the Home screen and Activity page. Due to time constraint  I had to limit myself to one task, but I would like to create more screens for the messaging icon. Building meaningful connection is one of the main features of this app so that's something I would like to tackle next.
